My computer has such a long penis, Peter North resigned his career as he saw a picture of it.

Why don't we just post our Teraflops? And then maybe the best video we made with all those Teraflops?

How do people here just ramble this stuff off? Is it a guy thing? A geek thing? I don't get it.

I have a sticker on the front of my harddrive that I use for reference when this sort of thread pops up. Without that sticker, all I'd know is my computer is Windows XP and it was the most expensive comp at Office Depo back in 2003. o.O

Stats (taken right from the sticker):
2600+ (2.133GHz) AMD Athlon XP processor
512 MB DDR SDRAM memory*
[* with up to 64MB shared video memory]
60GB Ultra DMA harddrive
32MB DDR SDRAM
Integrated ProSavage DDR KM266 graphics with 32MB shared video memory
CD-RW drive with RecordNow software
DVD-ROM drive 16x max speed

Stuff I've bought at Radio Shack:
-I replaced the CD-RW with a CD-RW+DVD-ROM, I've replaced it 6 times (free of charge) after the first instalation because it never reads dvds, eventually I gave up and now I only use it for cdrs, to this day it only works for an hour before it overheats and gets buggy
-a 250gig external harddrive
-an external DVD writer + CD-RW (though it won't read cdrs, let alone write them)
-an external capture card device I haven't played with in a while, it's on my desk somewhere...
-an external zip drive I used to transfer files from my old cdrw-less comp

Programs:
WMM 1.0, ME, and 2.0 (yes, all three on one computer)
Premiere 6.0
Arcsoft Showbiz
Arcsoft PhotoImpression4
Jasc animation suite
AMVapp package + EAC (the stuff in the guides)
Nero Startsmart
...and a weird old editing program I picked up at Goodwill for a buck, it has two video tracks, so theoretically it's better than wmm, I still haven't actually installed it...the price was too scary...

No, I just wondered where all that hardware power in this thread went into. Creating fps maybe? In Oblivion.

Because I really can't see any relevance to AMVs in this thread. It should go into OT at best.
If this thread is okay why not a thread about your car (you get your ideas in)? Or how big your house is (you edit in)?
Even a thread about ones favorite beer has more relevance to AMVs.

It's an "I built this motherfucker and I'm damn proud of it" thing. So in a way, both. I suppose.

I mean, I haven't fully memorized everything on my motherboard, which is what I have the motherboard box for, but everything else is pretty much from memory.

I was actually sad not many people were posting their rigs, I was looking forward to comparing. The people who have...

Well, let's just say I can't claim "MONSTER MACHINE!" status any more. =(

I just built mine like 3 weeks ago. I'll probably forget some of the specs in a month (like the video card model) but some (like my 20.1inch wide screen monitor) i look at constantly, so it kinda is a bit of a reminder.
