I just make sure to always check for new ops so I stay on top of them, and after I read a new one, I just take a couple extra seconds to reply with "Thanks for your opinion." It's just so that people know I'm reading them and that their feedback is appreciated. I know I like to be treated the same way when I leave ops, especially when they were requested specificially to me and I went out of my way to analyze their video and try and write something constructive for them because they asked for my help. It's just nice to know that my feedback has been read.
Amen to that lady.

I've been replying to pretty much 11028% of the ops I recieve... So if you give me an op, check back in 2 days time... You'll at the least get a thank you since that's what I expect when I give out an op... I'm one of the few lucky ones to get an op gratitude from Koop... GO KOOP! [and he still ignores me at ACEN... ]

"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)

In that case, you should be sure to reply to the op warning the person not to review your videos again until they learn to be succinct. It'll save both you and the writer from wasting time.

I get spats where I'll reply to every op I get. Then I'll lurk for a while and not reply to anything. I like to reply, but unless they ask questions or there's something for me to explain, my replies get way too repetitive. Which I said the last time this thread came up in this section of the forum. I'm surprised there are three pages for a repeat topic - with most of the same people writing the same thing they wrote last time. Clearly we haven't changed habits since then. But we just keep defending ourselves (or claiming innocence and distance from the offenders). Next time someone should just link to this thread, or the posters should copy and paste what they wrote the last few times this topic came up.

It's weird. Before I talked to you, you didn't reply to my OPs, but once I talked to you, you started to reply and even replied on some old ones.

Haha.

Ain't no point in me telling them that if they think it takes 7 references for me to figure out what they're talking about. It may not waste thier time, but I've learned just to read to see what they're trying to say, skip lines, and if it keeps going down the page, I just leave.

There's no rule saying "Thou shalt reply to all opinions or thou shalt surely burn in the pits of .Org HELL!" Or something like that...

Anyway, it's simply common courtesy to reply to an opinion. It's not an obligation. Even better is the 1:1 op sytem. that way, it's completely fair and you bth get to thank each other for the ops by oping the other's video.

I always reply to the opinions I get, because then the people who wrote the opinion can see that I'm reading and also thinking about what they think about my videos...
