No, Alex even mentioned the sub group that they got the footage from once (don't recall which...). I think you can even catch a couple of subs here and there if you watch "Making of the Beast".

I was just using it as an example of good visual quality despite using fansubs. I full-well know most Naruto videos use them, but this one actually manages to have some pretty impressive visuals despite the lossy source.

No you shouldn't(imo) but yes you could. If your poor then I don't blame you too much for downloading Raws and Fansubs for your footage, but if you could afford stuff for yourself besides food, then you should buy your source footage instead of downloading it since it's not supporting the creators of the anime, and it gives AMVs a bad name.

Using downloaded Raws compared to using downloaded fansubs is almost the same. There's usually little difference in quality between the two, and the only time it's a big deal when you use downloaded fansubs over raws is when the subs show up in your video.

If all people did was use downloaded videos and music for AMVs, we would be in a lot of trouble, since it would show that people that make them don't support distributors of anime and music, though FU** the RIAA!!!!!!!!
