In this thread where everyone posted the same basic information....

Just for the record, that thread had nothing to do with opinions, or stars in relation to opinions and the gaping difference between them when it comes to certain vids. It was largely a poll - what's your distribution? Cool. Here's how it ranks when taken as a group. Cool chart! Thread's purpose served, lock.

What I like is that people here are actually explaining what makes a 5 a 'great' score, instead of just telling how many 5s they gave. My interest in the topic lies in my curiosity about members of the site and what they like when it comes to our shared fandom - amvs.

I still think your chart is cool, though.

Maybe its me remembering some old posts that covered similar topic.. or my mind is going weak, but it does seem to ring a bell.

For the record, and to stay on the topic:

Handing out stars has never really been something that I put much thought into. Mostly I just don't think about them till hit the 10 video limit and go through them quickly.
Unless I find a video offensive, it'll usually range from a 2,3,or 4.
Videos that I find myself looping or keeping in my permanent folder usually get 5's and videos that just annoy me are instant 1's.

Video Ops on the other hand usually get about an hour of attention on average. I really can't think of the two as really relevant except as an intellectual excercise.

personally love how you say this line then continue on to spend more effort on evaluating stars than anyone else I've seen...

It wasn't that hard, but it WAS interesting to see how after the numbers pile up they really average out.
Plus, I was at work, and was feeling lazy.
