omfg guys, the donations are coming in, and wow, you guys fucking ROCK. I've decided to not only throw in my 10 dollars, but also cover whatever other expenses paypal charges me in their fee to take donations, so if you donate 10 bucks or 2 bucks, it's all going to flint, extra money out of MY pocket to make sure of that.

Some of the donations have been eye popping big, and you guys just made my day. With all the bad vibes in the thread, I was wondering if anyone really cared about anyone else other than themselves. I see now that you all do. In one day, We've managed to get $197! Thats more than 15% of the total needed! IN ONE DAY!

Wow guys, just wow.

Some other things I wanted to address once again:

1. Guys, this is not me asking for money for something I want to buy. This is me, asking for money for a friend whom I have never met who needs help with something. He's a respected member of this website, and demonseal. He's never been anything but nice and helpful to almost everyone and seriously, there couldn't be a better guy.

2. Flint never asked for this, never said "boy I wish someone would start a donation for me." I did it because I felt it was the right thing to do and everyone (at least, a lot of you, anyway) would be more than willing to plunk down a few bucks.

3. I realise most of you don't think you can afford to throw anything in. Like I said, I'm willing to take in whatever you can afford. I'm not asking for a minimum of $5. If you can paypal $2, thats $2 more than was there before, and it truely helps out. Like I said, I'll put in whatever paypal takes out, so 100% of your donation helps this guy out.

4. You DO NOT NEED a paypal account to paypal money over to me. Just a Credit Card or a Bank Account. If you don't feel safe using paypal (I've been using it forever, and trust me, it's VERY reliable.) I'd certainly be willing to accept snail mail checks and MO's. Just email me and I can give you a name and address. Thats all appreicated too.

5 bucks seems like alot to watse on flint especially since there no stonecold proof that it was that much

can you post any evidence of the medical expenses? i don't mean to be rude, but it looks really suspect asking for donations more or less anonymously (at least to those who don't know you well) over the internet.

Like I said, $5 is probably 45 minuites of your time, if you have a job. No, there is no proof (on my end) that indeed his bills were that much. But he posted it in his live journal before anyone's gears were turning on the idea. I just saw a lot of people were willing to help the guy out and I wanted to make it possible to do something. I understand if you feel this is suspect, all I can tell you is that it's incredibly legit. AbsoluteDestiny knows I'm good for it. If he smelled something fishy, this thread would have been toast before you could blink. I like to think I'm a respected member here who's trustworthy, but I certainly don't expect you to just give up cash if you don't like the way it feels. I hope you do decide to help out, but I'm not twisting your arm.

So seriously, thanks for everyone who donated. Some of the donations have been pretty hefty! Keep it up guys, lets do this.

Never mind the medical bill! I wanna see the gore! I'd much rather see that than a documant! I'd give me and posibly others a greater simpathy. As soon as I'm not broke (not soon most likely) I will donate something, to somewhere. Don't know.

have you ever been to the emergency room? Without medical insurance? when I broke my nose and had 4 stitches after being hit in the face with a puck, my bill was close to $1700. And they didn't even have to set the fucker. =P

Fortunately I had medical insurance.
