I agree with the above, but that's what I think makes the challenge
interesting, an AMV that can actually rise above its source
material.
I think it also provides quite a lot of creative freedom in the
following way: there is no plot to speak of that will get in the way.
That is to say, people who are familiar with the anime will have no
preconceived notions of what the AMV should be about, their
expectations go no further than the sex. As an editor I can then
make any story I want with the source, I don't have to follow
any of the plot guidelines the anime has set because there aren't
any. In other words, when life gives you lemons, you make
lemonade (pun absolutely intended :)
