And video scores from an asshole matter...why? Especially since you can choose which two ops are made public? Some people give stupid, asshole-ish ops. Suck it up and deal.

Once again.. this isn't just about getting an assholish op.. i'd less likely complain if he gave all 2s and N/A for effects. This is me getting mad that they are unable to fix it so the effects score feature is disabled.. and I must assume you haven't read much of what I said in this thread and the other one.. your just jumping to assumptions like some others did.. like people asking me if I contacted the person and asked him if he could put N/A for effects when I've explained that I did over and over again. I'm not mad about the entire op in general.. I'm mad that I'm getting scores in effects when I have done non effects.. I'm glade you have such an understanding of why I'm complaining in the first place.. read Arigatominas post.. at least she knows where I'm coming from on this matter. And I'm just looking for peoples constructive opinion on the matter.. why you think this disserves lockage is beyond me.. this isn't about dealing with people who give shitty scores, get that through your thick cranium.

You do realize that this is simply making the likelyhood of another person doing the same thing go up, right?

A review like the one you posted is worthless. It serves no purpose other than to let you know that the reviewer did not enjoy your AMV. Maybe there should be a minimum number of words or characters required when writing and entering a review?

Or maybe there should be some penalty, (a suspension or removing the ability to enter opinions), for those users that would enter a review such as this one?

I did read your posts. Really, it's your own fault for not paying attention when you created the video entry in the first place. Instead of whining about it, try going directly to the administration. If that doesn't work, suck up and deal. Getting lousy scores in a category you don't have isn't the end of the world. It's only bothering you because you're letting it. Besides, no one else can see those scores if you don't want them to.

And this thread does need locked for pointless whining and flamethrowing. Dragging other members' names into a thread they're not even involved in is pretty bad form.

Key points for lockage:
I've brought up some names inappropriately.
Uhh I'm just whining or something...?? :|

I'm just looking for constructive criticism.. nothing more.. now please stop throwing this off topic.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. This is exactly what I'm looking for. ^_^

I hate to break it to you, but "constructive criticism" does not mean "full agreement and/or coddling."

I couldn't help but get into this.

First off I think anyone that rates AMV's badly because they didn't like the song for either the band, the song itself or any combination of the two; shoul be shot. No one gives a s*** about your taste in music. Obviously the creator of this music video didn't either. So what do you do? Rate it on how well the song fit with the video. That is being unbiased.

As for effects. I am very particular about effects and think any added effect should need at least a small opinion. I've seen smal effects messed up. So really any effect should get a rating. However that's up for you to decide.

Another problem is that people don't factor in possibilite and circumstances. For example I have a video up I made about five years ago with the first mass produced version of windows movie maker. I got it on Windows ME. I thought it was great. MY video wasn't that great and my source material was limited. These all need to be factored into a video. There are thing you have to think about when rating a video. Is it his first video? What source material was he able to use? How good is his movie editor?

DO NOT expect them to have what you have. Because no one is as rich as you or easily able to get the same software as you.

In short his opinion was crap and he should be shot for being that stupid.
