it's the pepsi vs coke discussion all over again, it's just a topic that people put a lot more thought into it then it really needs and is more for time-killing purposes that people really argue over sumtin like that, i don't think many people are really PASSIONATE about whether one is better than the other or is even different (they are, btw)T|r|D wrote:Wanna add some thing....Same with Lemon and Lime stuff... i like them but there's hardly any diff between them..
being a girl or a boy may make u more likely to make either a yaoi or yuri vid, but honestly i think it's just a matter of applying urself and whether or not you can make urself believe in ur video's idea

Not liking gayness in anime or videos is normal, liking it isn't. As for me, two chics can passBulghod wrote:Is that kinda like how a lot of guys don't like homosexuality unless it's two chicks?bote wrote:I can understand females making yaoi videos, but males that make yaoi videos I can't.

I've heard different definitions for those, SS. I've also heard that half of them are used in Japan and half of them are only used in English-speaking anime fandom, and even then people don't agree on what each of them means.
Which goes to show that all of it is kind of pointless if you have to use the word, then define what you mean by it, every single time.
It just irritates me because when one person says "Gravitation is yaoi," half of the people reading it will be assuming that means "hentai," when person 1 actually meant "m/m romance." So the series gets this pornographic reputation that it doesn't deserve at all. (okay, unless you have some sort of fetish involving rock stars or smoking.) And basically everyone assumes that anything with two guys on the cover is all about sex all the time, which is completely crap.
Actually, though, that may just be the pervert fanboy mindset, because people assume there's lesbian sex in Utena, and there isn't - the only onscreen action (and there isn't much) is m/f.
It gets irritating explaining this constantly, but I am so annoyed when people jump to conclusions about shows I like.
So.
Don't assume anything about a series unless you ask somebody who's actually SEEN it; and don't be an adolescent snot who can't resist pissing all over things he doesn't like. Not much chance of that, but one can dream.
Thank you and goodnight.
