There's only some slight changes I'd make to Vlad's list:

Massive Multi-Editor Projects
2001 - Various - DDR Projects

Digital Effects to enhance the videos meaning
2003 - Koop - Euphoria

Digital Effects where the effects are the only meaning
2005 - Decoy - Naruto's Technique Beat

MEPs are a clear trend over the last few years and the DDR projects were one of the first really huge ones, although the start of the MEP forum probably has more to do with their current popularity than DDR does. As for effects I think the artistic differences between how Koop uses effects and how Decoy does justifies separating them (note, I'm not starting an argument about which is better, just saying they're different trends).

You forgot something dad:

The (real) beginning:
1290582039823 BC - Vlad G Pohnert invents music video editing by making cave drawings and beating rocks to make music.
102942389 BC - Vlad G Pohnert invents the first lens flare by hitting a rock to a piece of flint.

I know why people hate comedy.

Because perhaps here, as in Shakespeare's plays, the fool is the smartest one of all.

So, DW, are you suggesting I'm immortal :P

Also godix, yea I agree about the MEP thing, I just don't have it as an example in the panel due to the lengths and time limitations, but It's worth a mention...
