I still read them.. I wait like a month or so until the ops pile up and read them in one sitting. Since it takes forever to load, I don't generally leave responses cause when I try to, it freezes up on the reload... |:dj_ultima_the_great wrote: Speaking of which... Koop... I'm curious. At what point did you stop reading opinions for Euphoria? Did you ever go back and try to read them all? This is assuming your browser can do it without crashing.

I agree, FMS. I mean I know why some people might not to reply, sometimes even I have nothing to say but I try to reply to most.
But it's like when you leave a good opinion for a vid and never gets a reply it feels like creator doesn't care or something.
Even though you know they appreciate the feedback, just looking at the plain white box...just feels empty.

I used to be on top of replying to each op in a timely manner. Then, as my workload got heavier and I became less able to check the site frequently, I fell a bit behind. I really do appreciate the people who take time to write opinions, and I intend to respond to them all as soon as I have the free time.
I like to respond in-depth to in-depth ops, and perhaps that's part of the reason I ended up not being able to reply to each one; I didn't want to have to resort to just copying and pasting generic responses. I'd rather write something meaningful/pertinent than simply "Thanks for the op". I will go back and tackle the backlog some day, though.

I think it depends on how much you get. I'm still thankful for every opinion I get since I hardly get any, but when you're flooded I guess you'd spend more time replying to opinions than editing

Jesus. People have been complaining about not getting ops for years, now people are complaining about not receiving gratitude for ops freely given. Attention whores.Full Metal Sempai wrote: I'm also a creator and always replies to the opinions given to my videos. But when I give an opinion and never get a reply,it pisses me off.
Listen, there are plenty of unskilled editors like me that love the hell out of AMV's, but have made the mistake of actually trying to contribute to the scene. I uploaded my creations because, good or bad, I felt it would be a waste if I didn't. I don't want opinions, I don't ask for opinions and I'll be damned if I'm going to thank people for opinions.
Quit your whining and go edit more.

I always reply to every op I get. I just make sure to always check for new ops so I stay on top of them, and after I read a new one, I just take a couple extra seconds to reply with "Thanks for your opinion." It's just so that people know I'm reading them and that their feedback is appreciated. I know I like to be treated the same way when I leave ops, especially when they were requested specificially to me and I went out of my way to analyze their video and try and write something constructive for them because they asked for my help. It's just nice to know that my feedback has been read.

I know its polite to reply to ops and I don't have many, so some people would say I don't have an excuse, but there are some ops that just don't warrant a response. If the op makes some particularly interesting points or I feel I need to explain something to an oper, yeah, I'll respond. But the ones that don't say much more than "good vid", "bad vid", "I don't like Hello Kitty", I will put a blanket thank you in my journal, but if they can't take the time and effort to say something interesting and useful, why should I take the time to respond? So I guess it'd be like rewarding people for leaving a good and useful op.
