Parents: whatever keeps me out of jail and off drugs = acceptable.

They just don't like it when I go on DVD buying binges. They def accept the editing hobby since it lead into a job.

Friends: they don't mind at all, they love everything I create (biased bunch of hosers) and aren't afraid to peek over my shoulder whenever I get something new to watch. They'll even borrow DVDs from time to time or go out and buy a show they like.

My mom thinks it sucks cause it's taking cash out of her pocket to buy the DVd's.

Talk about supportive.

My parents pretended they thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread (i.e. told me to make money from it), and then went back to being sucky parents.

My friends all think it's pretty kickass.

it now takes up a good chunk of my free time, not sure if that's good or not, given i do a lot of other things on my free time lol.

Anime is a part of my entire family's life, thanks to my parents being oldschool
anime lovers (for instance, my mom's eerie obsession with Speed Racer).

So of course, my folks have come to love AMV/VMVs with as much gusto as I do.....

My farther supports it for he sees that I have a talent in editing and am very creative so he says. Plus he's even going to Otakon next year to see my video on the big screen. Hopefully I'll be able to make the finals back to back years.

My kids think it's great that I like anime, and make amvs. My wife thinks I'm having a midlife crisis episode.
