I once made a folder for 2 or 3 videos that I would show to people who have never seen an AMV.

That folder now has 52 videos.

If I had to pick just one it would be "The Wasteland" due to it's three distinct sections encompasing editing styles from action to avant garde.

I've also used "Bleed the sky" with good results.

Um, as for me... I don't know, really. In my experience from two or three years back, Engel was the thing for getting people impressed. Since then...
I have a huge collection, and it's hard to pick one. Generally, when someone comes over though, and we get into showing AMV's (even if they haven't seen them before) - I don't let them go without seeing at least... a dozen. Usually more, interspersed with some of my brother's favorite GMV's
