Alot for some, and never for some. Usually I only edit if I remember something I wanted to say that I had forgoten before hand. Or to add a COnvention/contest status to it. Sometimes feedback on a vid might prompt me to add something to the description that alot of people ask me about.
I write my descriptions (and ops for that matter) in Microsoft Word, because i'm a horible speller and make abundance of typos ;p

I even run my posts through spell check sometimes. After all, good spelling is the first step to having people listen to you and not write you off as some stupid n00b. (The second step being, of course, not asking stupid questions.) It's just more professional and people will have a higher oppinion of you.

Oh, boy. I spend more time on descriptions than I do on the vids, I bet.
The titles (to see how they look in type) and descriptions are written out in Notepad, in the same file as my notes to myself about the vid ("Make the cut at 1:32 earlier" etc). Before the AMV is done.
This is mostly in case I stop working on the vid, so I don't come back to it six months later going, "Okay, WTF was I aiming for on this?" I write notes-mostly-to-myself about the concept I was going for, and such.
About 30% of this gets edited out before I post the vid and the notes. I'll correct it later if I happen to see something's messed up, or if somebody bitches at me for something or other (I once posted lyrics because somebody bitched that they couldn't understand the song).
Later on, after the vid's been up a long time, I'll wipe all that junk off and just leave a couple of sentences. No use taking up that much space for something that's basically defunct.
