Why does makeing AMVs have to be so hard?
Because some of us make it that way upon ourselves.
The standard for entertainment is getting higher and higher.

don't take me seriously, it's all in spirit of fun.
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

s_m_w, your sig is too big, that last line of text pushes you over the 4-line rule.

To answer your original question: if AMV-making was easy, then EVERYONE would be able to do it.

Look at the flood of mediocre-and-worse videos that are uploaded to the Golden Donut every day, because almost everyone already has Windows Media Maker 2 on their computer. If it got any easier, then you'd have hundreds of new videos going online every day, with diminishing quality every time.

Yes, AMV-making is hard, but it's that level of difficulty that helps to separate the bad from the good. bum was right in his original post: you're only 12, you shouldn't expect to be anywhere NEARLY as good as the likes of VicBond, the Hypeo crew, AD, and so on. They've been doing this for years, and that's why they're so good at it.

Wow, you sure are a great motivator. :-?

I don't think age is that important. If she has the passion to do it, she'll make the time and effort to learn things. I don't think "bad" videos has anything to do with age or maturity and moreso a lack of effort and willingness to get better.

With that said, I think most people here have been pretty helpful. It's not the easiest of hobbies, but it can certainly be rewarding and fun. And don't let anyone tell you that you have to make "good" videos" or whatever. Just make what you want. Also most folks on here should be willing to help out, so feel free to ask.

I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors!
