Wow, 2 replies in the time it took me to make that last post...::jaw drops::
Anywho, yes, I know, but I currently do not have access to a DVD-Rom, so that sort of impares me to do so (use the DVD footage). I am also working on a semi-deadline, because I am going to attend the upcoming AnimeNEXT 2003 convention in Rye Brooke, New, York , and I wish to show people at the convention this video.
As far as the footage being downloaded, I don't see why there is a problem. As I had mentioned before, I own .hack//sign , I have paid the amount of money, negating the illegal use of the footage, and licence, because I do not make any money. The only possible downside is the quality of the footage, and I don't see how super high quality is a Rule.

That's true, but you know, you should just go buy a 30 dollar dvd rom... I got mine from walmart for 30 bucks.. it works fine.

Yes, I realize that some, being a small minority, people strictly buy Subbed VHS tapes, hence why I said "99%" , but thank you for pointing that out.

Yes'm, I was actually thinking of getting a DVD-RW soon, I noticed they have dropped to as low as $100, but unfortunately, I've been spending quite a bit as of lately, and only really have enough for my g/f's Birthday, the AnimeNEXT convention, and gas/food for a few days after.
. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I guess I fall into the 1% then. I own the Video Girl AI DVD's and the ending sequence, along with many other scenes, is hardsubbed with song lyrics. I had to crop those damn things out and resize my footage in V-Dub to make my newest video. So...just because there is a sub remover guide on the site, it doesn't mean they are condoning d/l footage.ANTDrakko wrote: Its funny, though, how the Org can host a "subtitle removal guide" , yet be "oh so highly against" downloaded footage, which is 99% of the time that the subtitle removal is neccesary. Just thought it a bit ironic.

Ok, lemme just get this straight.
Downloaded Footage = Wrong = Illegal because not $$ spent toward the Companies licence.
So therefor:
Spending money toward Company's Licence = Wrong also?
Heh, its the same thing with downloaded music, if someone downloads a song, likes it, then goes and pays $15 for that band's CD, are they "wrong" people?
::snicker:: Like I said, the only injustice done is the quality of the video compared to what it CAN be. [/quote]
