For Setzer, I understand why you'd think of Lupin, but listening to the song, it just doesn't really seem to fit the imagery. Personally I think Spike Spiegel would work alot better. He's got that same kind of attitude, and the song is a little bit more suited for his more somber emotion, whereas Lupin has the same attitude, yet is characteristically alot more playful and goofy. However, you then run into the conflict of using Bebop twice if you use Ed with Gau (which is an excellent match, and fits the track). But, just thought I'd note that.

You're absolutely right about Setzer too. I should have listened to the segment for Setzer without assuming the anime character. Sounds like I should do that for every character, which I will now. Thanks for your much-needed advice, Atom.

Excellent suggestions! I heard Rei from another person earlier, and was thinking of Belldandy at one point when then realized she doesn't really go through nearly as much turmoil to fit the sadness in the song. As for Tima, I'll look into that; it sounds nearly perfect, but then again nothing is as, I've found out lately.

Personally I think Tima would work PERFECT. She's got that same kind of solemness that Terra has, along with being very powerful. I think the imagery would work just great. But it'll be your call.

As for two animes, I bet you could do a Spike video and an Ed video without really showing the other character in each one (if that makes sense. Like, in Spike's segment, never show Ed, and vice versa). But if not, better either look for another Setzer or another Gau. Actually *goes to listen to Gau's track again*...

Hmmmmmmmmm.........

For some reason I'm seeing Tsukasa (.hack//SIGN) but he doesn't really resemble Gau's character whatsoever, but it goes with the music :\ Let's see who else.... Maaaaaaaaaaybe Shu from Now And Then Here And There? He's KIND OF wild like Gau, and I can see him with the music (oh! and speaking of NTHT, Lala Ru would be a great candidate for Terra as well).. uuh... Gah. I dunno. That one's tough. :\

I'm gonna go with Ed for Gau, instead of Spike for Setzer. Setzer's theme is too uplifting and free and happy for a person with such a down-and-dirty personality like Spike's. Although I still agree that Lupin is too goofy and playful, so Setzer's anime spot is open.

I think Chise of Saikano would fit Terra extraordinarily well. But then there's the problem that Saikano isn't on DVD in the US.

for sabin and edgar, how about kazuma and cougar from scryed or vash and knives from trigun.

I don't have any ideas myself, but just to help other people out. Start with this:

Sabin = fighting and brawling and occasional laziness or goofing off.

Edgar = gadgets and royalty and pride.

Not quite an exact definition, but try to think of anime duos with those characteriestics. The fighting and the gadgets are the major ones in my opinion.

that just reinforces my point about kazuma and cougar.

kazuma. loves fighting, can be very lazy.

cougar, full of pride and has a cool car and other things that i can't say witout giving up spoilers.

Sounds good, I just haven't seen it so I can't really comment on it much >,<

If you want to do the segment using that anime, that's fine.
