This is a good idea. FYI, I don't know how the site is programmed, but theoretically, it shouldn't be too difficult to create something like "random videos created in the past xx years" or even "random videos created by a user that has logged in since xx." Again, I'm not sure how the phpbb <-> site integration is done and to what extent, but in MySQL creating a query to satisfy the above conditions wouldn't be too difficult.
