So.... my job is being outsourced to the Philipines, and with my $1000+ severance pay, my girlfriend is gonna build me a kicking computer. I told her I want to make AMVs... i don't care the price. She said "Watch me work."
So, I have the know how, mostly, and I'll have the gear, but the ideas I have are basic... what I need are help from those very.... very... very few of us on here who enjoy Country Music. Let me share some of my basic ideas, and you tell me what I need ironing out on:
Kenny Chesney "Who you'd be today" - Character profile of Sakura from Tenchi in Tokyo
Gary Allen "Songs about rain" - using every possible sad rainy scene known to anime (first scene Cowboy Beebop; Ai Yori Yoshi; voices of a distant star; lots of Ranma)
Gretchen Wilson "Redneck Woman" - Character profile of Osaka from Azamanga Diaoh
And, because I also love pro wrestling, I was also thinking about using some of the theme songs incorporated as well. First and formost The D-Generation X theme, done to many series including degenrates and teens such as Excel Saga, Paranoia Agent, Comic Party, Aquarian Age the series, Chormatarie <sp> High School, Azamanga Diaoh, Strawberry Eggs, Evangelion, and Jubei Chan just to name a few.
So, am I on the right track with my ideas, or am I just a noob blowing a lot of hot air? I hope I'm the first one.

Guildenstern: Consider: One, probability is a factor which operates *within* natural forces. Two, probability is *not* operating as a factor. Three, we are now held within un-, sub- or super-natural forces. Discuss.

Another good rainy scene, the Marcoh episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist(disc 4, eps 14-16)
I love country and may do a country vid at some point. I think you've got some interesting ideas. At this point you just need some experience under your belt, then you will have a better idea of what is possible and will have some better ideas.

Do multiple anime all spoiler AMVs get a bad rap because you ruin so many series' suspence, or does everyone just let it go?
That is gonna be one of the hard parts, as most of the dramatic rain scenes are gonna be spoilers....Spoiler wrote: HA! There's nothing here now!! You're gonna have to go all the way back up two whole replies and find out the acutal spoiler!! But really, you don't want to read it do you? You should just watch the rest of the series and be suprised. It's more fun that way... honest.
