Trying to learn

Post by PhoenixTyrs » Tue Jun 07, 2005 2:40 pm

Okay sorry this might be in the wrong place. I'm trying to do AMV's and I need some help. First off I want to make them on my desktop but I have no DVDR on it but I have one on my laptop is there any way to connect the two so that I can get the movie information from my laptop? And also what program is best to use?

Also, You can just capture the clips from the DVD's instead of ripping them (Ripping them would be the best option though)

Yes, definitely. I can't tell you how, but it will involve either transferring files (cdrw discs, a zip drive, intelligent stick) or actually connecting them via a cable. If you want to connect them, go to your local Radio Shack and see what cable/connection the guy recommends. Chances are good he'll have it in stock and for under $30.

That's my newbish answer, but the Radio Shack guy will not only tell you what you need, he'll sell it to you on the spot and tell you how to hook it up. He'll probably be nice about it, too, since customer service is encouraged.
