What kinds of bands do you consider light rock? That would be the best to do a search on... the bands you want...

Oh dear lord -_-. . . You know, if worst comes to worst just google the band's name and make sure it's right, if it isn't they usually offer a correct suggestion. Or look at the artists' names on a CD cover or in a magazine. Seriously, it's not that hard.

you can find the spelling of some soft rock artists here although if you're looking for 3 doors down-like mellow rock, you may be looking for post-grunge

I think AD should get right on "smart" spelling searches for band names like google has for general searches.

You could always just use the "browse by artist" feature
