AMV contest

I was just wondering how to enter my video into the AMV video contest. I mean, its already been "potentially qualified" i just want to make sure that its becomes fully qualified. How do i do that?

It looks like all of your vids are 'okay' as far as anime/complete information is concerned, and you do have 2 vids from 2004. So as long as you check the box on your profile - the "all my vids have been listed" box, your vids will automatically be put into the list of vids to pick from.

If you want to know how to make sure one of them gets into the actual votes, try pimping it - make sure people know about it so they're more likely to vote for it. There's no guarantee, but that's what the vca promotion forum is for.

Here's something I've been confused about for a couple of years: how do I actually nominate videos or creators? Do I just mention them in the VCA Promotions forum? Or is there a special page that I use to make nominations?

I think the nominations start on the 14th. Last year they had a link to the catelog and for each category (action, drama, etc) you scan through all the vids eligible and pick the ones you want to nominate (as many as you want). Then they count the votes for each vid and that's how they get the entries in the 'nominated' page. After that they do actual votes to decide the winners out of the ones nominated.

The promotion is only to get names out there so people are more likely to nominate vids and get them into the running.

Actual nominations will be on a special page. Nominations are scheduled to start on Jan. 19. On that date, a big list of all the qualified videos are released in the "Viewers Choice Awards" section. You then check which videos/creators you want to nominate for which category. The videos that are most nominated win the nominations round.

The forum section is just for creators who are trying to make their videos more well-known, so that when nominations start, their videos might get some votes.
