Naruto Tribute...in jeopardy...
This is nuts. The two other members of "K.R.L. Productions" are unable to help
me in creating an awesome tribute to Naruto for various unpleasant reasons.
(Mikael Juha got his ass banned for something he did; Majin Dan has little computer access)
I don't know what I'm going to do! This video is to be submitted for the AMV
contest for next year's SakuraCon, and now I am unable to create it.....
(for your information, I am merely the "brains behind the braun"; I do not
own any kind of video making software, nor do I know how to use such things)
If anyone would like to assist me on making this dream a reality, let me
know and I'll have you put down in the video as a "Guest Vidmaker". And
anyone belonging to a certain studio can consider this a "team-up" of sorts.
Title: "Ranmyaku no Uzumaki: A Tribute to Naruto"
Anime: Naruto (duh!)
Scenes to be used: Kickass ones of Naruto getting pissed, freaked out
(i.e. hurt), and all with his Fox Eyes showing (and closeups of that, too).
Music: "Paper Cut" by Linkin Park (the lyrics TOTALLY match what I'm going for)
Note: The title of this tribute, in English, is "The Whirlpool of Chaos"

Jeez Tetris, you don't have to be so bossy. I personally love Linkin Park.
And that song I chose totally fits the video in my opinion. Gotta listen to
the lyrics to know exactly what I mean.....
Is anyone going to help me? Maybe come up with even better music than
this (if that's possible; can't imagine using anything else at this point).

I don't know how to say this without sounding a little mean, but you're asking someone to make a vid for you. You said yourself you don't plan to do anything in the 'making' of the video except give orders. And if someone did decide to make your video for you, the most credit they get would be 'guest' vidmaker. It might be your idea, but if someone else is doing all of the ripping and editing and compressing, then it won't be your vid - you would get the guest spot for the idea, they'd get the credit for the work.
If you just want someone to make this video for you, the best way to do it would be to make this a request. You supply the idea and anyone interested picks it up and makes a video dedicated to you - since it was your idea. That's the way requests work.
I know a few people who will make vids on commission, but we don't support that around here. Expecting them to do it for free - so you can get the credit - is asking too much. You won't be creating it unless you *make* it. The fact that you plan to send a video to a con - when you aren't planning to make the video - is apalling.
Download some free editing programs, get the footage and make the video - then you can send it out as your work. That's the way people do things around here.
If you want to start a group project with you as the director (with the ideas, the vision), that's fine. You direct - the creators get the credit for making it. Your name would be the aside as the person who organized it, not the one who made it. And any con submission would have to be in the name of the person who created the video - not the one who requested it. It just doesn't work that way.
Not to mention how you'd be the person putting the creator's name in the credits of his video - when you don't know how to use editing programs. o.O
If you need help learning how to use a specific program, post in the help sections - there are plenty of people here who can walk you through it. If you don't know where to start, go to the member main page and look at the guides - they're long, but worth the read.
As to your friend who was banned, a banned member is still fully capable of editing a video - he can communicate with you via email or AIM or hotmail messenger. He can call you or write. Heck, you can just send him the script since he'll be doing the editing, and then sit back and wait for him to make it for you.
Claiming credit for a video someone else edited goes against the site rules. So if someone decides to give one to you, you still can't claim the editing as your work, not here.
If you want the video, request it or make it. Making an amv takes work, please don't ask others to do the work so you can get the credit.
