Anyone else ever had their video copied?

My friend CJ gave me a song called 'Immortal' by Adema and said it would make a great Hellsing vid. I searched and found that it was already done by 3 people.

If I had made that video, would it have been considered idea copying?

It's almost absurd, really. Honestly, I wish and pray everyday that one of these times, someone takes my video ideas and makes their own videos to them that are better than mine. The day that happens will be the happiest day for me as an AMV editor, period.

Well, I did upload the wasteland to an indoneasian amv site for there yearly comp and claimed that it was me. I won $50 worth of anime fansubs

With my crappy bandwith right now, I sure wouldn't mind some of those fansubs about now...

...and $50 would give me a bloody lot, given the average cost of a fansub and all...

How can you assign a monetary value to a commodity that's not supposed to be for sale or rent in the first place?
