rm files, the reputation wrecker.

Post by OzzieArcane » Tue Jun 17, 2003 9:16 pm

All my videos that are currently up are in rm format with a picture size smaller then the original. Several people who left opinions have accused me of downloading episodes or stealing from other people's videos. I mean is this really a fair accusation against me? Don't people understand that when you convert something to rm format that it lowers the quality of the picture?

All of my clips were taken from my own VHS or DVD videos. All of my songs where ripped from the original CD aside from a few japanese songs that haven't been released over here and if there is a soundtrack for the show it's nearly impossible to find an import(Ruin Explorers and Zenki for instance). I do dang near everything myself because I know that people who steal other people's hardwork are wrong. Page pirates and other such things suck. It just irritates me that people would make an accusation like that... Anyhow hopefully they'll watch the mpegs when I get them up and change their minds on that.

My latest video:Ranma Chan is Too Sexy
My less then magnificant website: Planet Arcane

I think the problem is that a lot of people making vids with downloaded footage *do* use rm, not only for the small files, but because when the clips are so small it's hard to tell if they're downloaded or just poor quality. It gets to the point where people see rm and immediately think it's downloaded. Not right, but I think that's part of the problem.
