hey there, um i know it's not really a big character, but there is this english guy (Chaplain or something) from G Gundam. I only think of him because he was addicted to these pills, and that's what the lyrics popped into my head. hope it was some help. Keep on Directin...

While Chapman could match the pills part of it the rest doesn't seem to work for him as well...

Hmm... kind of makes me think of Ytena (the movie more than the series maybe). Fushigi Yuugi has several shots of Yui's wrist slash scar from her attempted suicide. (episode 10 and the next few). Ooh, I know! Gravitation's Yuki Eiri has a lot of relevant scenes because he thinks about comitting suicide, although with a gun rather than a knife, and you usually see him with cigarettes and alcohol rather than pills. But then he's sick, and he probably takes pills for that at some point - I don't remember.

Heh, if you wanted to be funny you could use Kenny from Southpark, there's even a shot of him as an angel in the movie.
