Opinions: Words vs. Numbers

After browsing a lot of the vids in the catalog with opinions, I've noticed that a few reviewers here (and I won't name names, I'll just say some of them are the bigwigs) seem to have a problem keeping their numerical score and their comments consistent. For instance, I saw one vid which got a 4 in capture quality, yet the reviewer said in the scoring breakdown "I couldn't find much wrong here [in the capture section]." In that case, why score the capture below average?

Can anyone tell me why it seems that many of the bigwig members can't correllate their comments with their numerical scoring?

Well, I can't comment for anyone else (and I sure as hell don't have a big wig

) but I like to say exactly why I give a particular score by donig a rundown of the scores in the general section.

I've always thought that's a good policy otehrwise someone is bound to ask why.

I haven't done reviews in ages, but I've been watching precious precious PRECIOUS few AMVs as well -.-. But when I did review regularly, I usually pay attention to what you are talking about and do a breakdown by section kinda like AD - I think I actually sorta studied AD's style, except I don't do them THAT long ^^.

Maybe they trail off task for awhile, come back, and are thinking of a totally different AMV when the write the comment? Somewhere along that line you might find your answer. A simple mistake.

Just respond with your own comment asking about it. But then again, what they say, they say. It's unfortunate that you can't change anything if they're just being stupid.
