The world needs more Gurren Lagann AMVs!

How come there are so few AMVs with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann? It is one of the best animes ever, but still I have seen only one good TTGL amv.

This is a mystery!.. When I watched TTGL I thought to myself "OMG! Theres definitely gonna be some realy awesome AMVs from this show!" .. Guess I was wrong?

Maybe TTGL is not as popular as I think it is?

Probably because there are also a lot of people out there, such as myself, who don't like it and think it's terrible. Just my 0.02$.

Yeah thats probably it.. I love ttgl, and I've been thinking that must be a very popular show.. Thats why I'm so suprised that there are so few AMVs.

I guess I was wrong about its popularity. ^^ haha

Well it does have high ratings on animenewsnetwork.com, I know that because my brother loves the show. So I guess it's just me.

I've got plenty of ideas, but I need to finish my current projects first. Plus I know some people would want to wait for a better DVD release.

About Gurren laggan, It's like FLCL+Eva(with some EoE) with a sprinkling of one piece. :/

I was planing on doing something with GL but then i saw a getter robo and all the other shows it pays homages to and it kinda lost its shine.

I think part of it (at least this was how it was for me) was people were waiting for quite some time for the DVDs to come over here (following ADV's fumbling.)

Given a lot of the raws on the web were network leaks with the time clock, it makes one hesitant to use those, so....

I've got a project in the works for it...just realize, this isn't gonna be a super popular audio source (...to the best of my knowledge, this has only been done maybe twice before...and in one of those cases, it was only part of it.)

As for the thoughts on the show itself. Overall, I think it's a decent Gainax show, if a little overhyped. My only direct complaint with it is the fact I found the final eps pretty facepalm-inducing at times. Mostly thanks to the fact, between this and Diebuster, I've lost what little interest I had in Gainax's 'Let's see you other studios top THIS!' bids to make the biggest/most powerful mechas.
