thats how the marker system in Vegas works... i just tap the "M" key on my keyboard to the beat :3

Yeah, but just relying on that isn't enough since it doesn't exactly set markers exactly when u tap the key to the beat b/c at that moment, the line indicator isn't exactly at the exact audio frame it should be when I tap to the beat I hear. Whenever I try that, it results in the beats gradually offset. It's a good guideline, though.
