My girlfriend has an english project due tommorow and it's basically a survey of what people use computers for. So if you could please answer the survey for her both she and I would be very greatfull. Thanks.

Here is her survey

Well in my english class we are starting to tlak about comuters and what people use them for. So we (my english class) was assigned to take an informal servay of 30 poeple on what they use computers for (i.e. work, internet, word proscessing, e-mail, photo editing, etc.). So if you dont mind giving a little bit of personal information and answering some questions about your use of computers it would really help me out and I would greatly appciate it. ^_^ Thank you for your time and help. 1. How often do you use computer? every day... for about 7 hours?

2. What do you use them for? surfing the net, video editing/encoding, pirating dvds, wait.. u might not want to leave that last one in there

3. What are you computer skills (i.e. word processing, photo editing, etc.)? audio/video editing, encoding

4. What programs do you use most often? virtualdub, windows media player, internet explorer, and AIM :O

Computer Background
1. How often do you use computer? At least 4-5 hours a day.

2. What do you use them for? Video Editing, Surfing, playing the occasional online multi-player game

3. What are your computer skills? I suppose by default I know about video editing but i want to know more... networking, and playing the occasional multi-player game...does that count?

4. What programs do you use most often? Adobe Premiere 6.5, Internet Explorer, Winmx, Winamp3, AIM...those are all constantly on

5. of these programs, how proficient are you at using them? I'd say...6 because I'm sure there's still alot I dont know about each one...that's a given

On a side note though, I hope you are posing this question at other forums because from a sociological perspective a survey should incorporate people from different places, races, and...uh, faces. You'll probably get alot of the same answers if you just ask here.... but I'm sure you've kept this in mind.

The survey is informal so teh normal rules of taking statistics such as a large sample size, repeatable results, random selction as well as margin of error etc. need not apply. Really it's just to collect unofficial informal data for the purpose of writing a paper.
