Anyone Buying that New Dbz Game

Post by leathelanime » Mon Nov 04, 2002 7:11 pm

ok I know the 1st batch of people will dash in here and tell me how Dbz sux and what not...then I will reply with "Well I obviously cant suck to most out there....I mean 70 million fans cant all be liars right?" But I dont wanna get into a debate like that because im not a big Dbz fan. After I first heard about the game months ago and seen some screens I thought it was just a Final Bout with a gloss coat on it...But after looking at the trailer ( http://gnforums.planet.net.au/DEMO/dragonball.mpg ) I proved myself wrong....It still looks like FB a bit but I looks fun none the less...My brother is a big Dbz fan (not one of those dbz fans that got on it from Toonami) and he is getting the game so I figure I will play it with him because I need to warm up in a fighting game before I get Kukuto Chojin on my Xbox

Looks kinda neat, low polygon count and simple textures though.

But...
I don't have a PS2 so it doesn't matter.

It probably is the best DBZ game made, from what I've seen, but its not my kind of fighting game. I am a die hard SSBM fan and it is , until SSB3, the best fighting game made.

SSB puts shame to the fighting game genre....IT'S JUST A MARIO PARTY GAME GONE HUUUGE!!!.....I like the game in it's own right but It doesnt deserve to be called a fighting game IMO....Now VF4,DOA,SF and many others..those are true fighting games

I hate other types of fighting games . . . no skilled required. Just learn some combos and there you go. Oh and dont forget button smashing got love that. -_-. Smash brothers is probably the only fighting game out there were you need skill to fight and button mashing only hurts you. And also it doesn't go on the "health" system. I hate the health system it really ruins a game because you only have so much life to use and once the shin kick you enough game's over. Any ways thats my opinion and several million others as well.

Why isn't it a fighting game? Are they fighting? Is there any other point to the game? Then it's a fighting game...

SSB is a King of the Hill game.....It isnt a Real fighting game that require's skill to play it...We had a tourny at my local game store a couple months ago and my 9 year old cousin made it to the Simi's but Im not trying to down the SSb boys out there I just dont call it a real fighting game at all...It's still a party game Just like Powerstone...like I said before DOA3,Tekken,Street Fighter,Virtual Fighter ect ect those are real fighting games....But this is my opinion and Im not hating on the game.
