I hope this can pull through...
"Reading Rainbow" is in financial trouble, apparently.

I'll be damn sad if it goes off the air. "Reading Rainbow" was one of the bright spots in life, growing up, and do think it had a valuable impact on me.
Hopefully there'll be some way to donate, as was suggested in a Fark thread about the article I linked.

Think about what it would be like if those shows were never created.
...scary...
Despite how cheezy and happy-go-lucky all of those shows seem to us now, we all pretty much loved them when we were younger. Shows like those encourage children to develop a healthy childhood. I don't want to know what it'd be like if the children were to grow up watching ANIME of all things...such a horrid, horrid form of entertainment...
Oh yeah...and I'm deeply hurt by this bit of news.
