Yes, I adapted it from what is probably Mr. Lovecraft's most famous creation. I thought it was a cool name, but since I like k's better than c's, and to also stand out, I changed it to "kthulhu". The name can be pronounced, it's just not easy. In the 1910s into the early 20 their was a movement in America to eliminate the letter 'C' from the alphabet and merely make due with the letter 'K'. Yet, given the rather questionable translations associated with those few recovered writings attributed to the Cult of the Cthulhu it seems not improbably that a 'K' might indeed be proper.
