I don't think either are bad.
Oh and don't put god into this. Don't forget he is the creator. If he didn't want us to act apon sin, why did he put that psychological crap in our heads?
Anyway, reason I don't think it's bad is because more or less, it really depends on your own spiritual existance. (in my eyes) Everyone is different in appearance, mental fortitude and grace as well as spiritual occurances. How we define what is bad or not is up to our own liking. one girl mike like lollipops while another girl might hate them and loves strawberry icecream.
I mean those who think it's bad were raised on that psychology or hated it from experience, and so on and so on. and putting up a provoking question like that would tend to bring up the heat in flames.

I didn't necessarily take the strong desires as a sexual ponder so....I am going to take it in a general sense.
You mean like the desire to smack someone when they deserve it? Yet resisting?....that would definitely make me a stronger person not acting on my primal urges to strike when people need really need a good strong kick.
I can't say a good or bad person. Because it depends on the urge. I have the pysical urge to give a hug, so I hug. That's acceptable but I don't know if it makes me a good person, I still fulfill my own selfish need for affection, but since I make other people feel good too it's a good kind of selfish.

Misty has my vote here - it depends on the circumstances.
As for the urges themselves, having them can't make anyone anything - most people get urges because of hormones, physiological reasons that can't be helped. Even angry urges can be due to physical reasons that have nothing to do with the mind. There are also conditioned responses - people raised in certain environments may be more prone to get angry (potentially violent) urges while others are more prone toward the overly-friendly (happier) urges. Even these aren't the fault of the person - they were raised that way as children and can't be blamed for reacting accordingly.
It's the acting that decides 'good' or bad. IF you have an urge to do something you know is wrong and you do it anyway, then yes, you're probably not a good person. But if you have an urge to do something other people think is wrong and you do it - that's blurry territory. If you're not hurting anyone (just upsetting people who think differently), then I don't think you're a bad person.
It's all dependent on the circumstances - what is the urge, where does the urge come from, what happens if you do act on it, why do you decide to act or not to act.
If you have an urge to give give blood or do some cheritable act and decide not to do it because you'd rather be playing, then you're not such a 'good' person. The same for someone who has an urge to comfort a greiving friend but doesn't because he might look like a 'sissy.' In these cases, the problem is *why* the person decides not to act.
