I tried spybot, it seems to work good but didn’t fix the problem.

What I finally realized was that every time I ran adaware if found two reg entry’s, it would say it would remove them, but they would come back :?

I rebooted into safe mode and tried to remove them manually, but as soon as I would hit refresh they would come back again! Since I was in safe mode it was the damnedest thing I had ever seen. Finally I used the task manager to shut down explorer (not IE) and then removed the entry’s...and it worked! I don’t know what the deal with that was, but all my adware and task bar problems are now gone, and i am happy once again.

:D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :)

Even though you fixed your problem, I still want to say another thing that Spybot does. As soon as your operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.) starts, Spybot will be the very first thing to load and it will scan all of the programs that open on startup afterwards. As the adware programs start up, Spybot will catch them and give you the ability to delete them.

They instalded a program called spyblast on mine. It only happend when pop-ups came and really pissed me off. I got a pop-up blocker and never saw it since. I know how you feel, as if pop-ups arn't enough, they install adware that slows your comp down and displays an anoyying icon.

I have it. Pie has it. Angel has it. Do you?

Seriously, though, I can't imagine searching the web without this thing. It's extremely handy.

Been using it since it came out. It is great, but didn’t help this time. I really don’t know where this came from :?
