I've come RRREEEAAALLL close to beating the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game (the first one). There always this ONE jump that I just cannot get across though. As for the other, I haven't played it on NES. I've playe dit on SNES, and it's damn hard. Again, I've come close to beating it, but it's SSSOOO long.

Probably because the NES displayed things with tiles, instead of individual sprites, which limited the resolution and hence complex display options. At least I think that was the case.SpPANDA wrote:my favorite was tha the ninja turtles were 1/4 of the size of the technodrome when you fought itAngel_Killer_777 wrote:Damn Ninja Turtles game, I couldn't get past that water level. -_- Why the fuck is there electrified sea weed any way? Yeah, that was the case, but they still could have made the sprites smaller.
I think the leonardo sprite there takes up 8 tiles, 6 at the least.
I use a tile editing program when I want to change sprites, and that's also what the SNES, and Genesis both used. Tiles.
Anyway, the NES used immense pixels, when compared to the SNES.
They both seem to use 56 pixels per block, but I don't know why...
