This is something I've been wondering ever since I started coming to the .org over a year ago. Whenever I get an op or QC, on the front page it informs me of such and the box to the left indicating the date is blue. Eventually, this turns to grey, which I take to mean that the op/QC in question is now considered "old". However, I have never been able to figure out how long the box stays blue before turning to grey, and it seems to be different each time. Sometimes the box will be blue for only a few days, other times a new QC will stay "new" for up to a week or more.
Is there any way to explain this? Is the change in color defined by a time limit, a certain amount of visits to the Member's Page, etc? I'm asking only out of curiousity, this has been driving me nuts for quite some time.

oh and the op is there as "new" 1 week since the last time it was edited/submited (your response to the op counts here as well), hence if someone edits the op 5 days after you recieved it, it will be up in "new" for 7 more days (and the "old" ops are bumped as new as well when someone edits it, either you or the one that submited it).omegaevolution wrote:from what I have noticed is:
