Definition of nudity.
Hello, I just registered and was about to upload my video when I realized it might be going against the site's rules. My AMV is from Kaze to Ki no Uta and contains some racy scenes that may conflict with this site's policies. The reason I'm confused is because those scenes I'm referring to do not show genitals but DO contain sex and nudity.
I found the definition of nudity to be vague in the FAQ and trying to click on the link that's supposed to take you to a discussion thread leads to a 404. I probably won't upload the video anyway, but I thought it was worth pointing out. I hope I'm posting this in the right place. xD
Thanks!

its not the nudity itself thats in conflict its the context of the nudity...
if its some random naked chick on the beach or a tokyo mew mew transformation theres no sexual context, then its acceptable to still upload to this site as a local file
if theres some definite sex going on then its sexual nudity no matter now detailed or not detailed the drawings are...
you can still use a hentai source for your video, but if you show the sex (or the defined/undefined) body parts then you cant host it on local... however if you take video "around" the sexual acts instead of using the acts themselves then you can host it on this site.
however if the file does break the local hosting rules you can upload it to your own host and yet still list it here, or just ask This Guy if he will give you hosting...

If there are no titties, pussy, or dick then you're fine.
If there are titties, pussy, or a dick then there better be an artistic reason for it. If the entire point of the video is to give someone a stiffie then it isn't 'artistic'.
If you really aren't sure if your nudity is 'artistic' or not then upload your video to one of the file sharing sites and email admin@animemusicvideos.org to watch it and tell you if it's acceptable or not. Don't expect an immediate response, it usually takes several days. Perhaps longer since this is con season so the admins are busy with their own things.

I thought that it's okay if it's not hosted on local...Artist of Termina wrote:Hello, I just registered and was about to upload my video when I realized it might be going against the site's rules. Thank you for providing me with the blunt answer I was looking for. =D Maybe if I found what you just wrote somewhere in the FAQs I'd feel secure enough to put my AMV on this site. With the conflicting responses I've gotten so far I feel like I might still get banned for uploading it. This is just my own stupidity but I also have no idea how to tell if a mod is responding or not, and while I appreciate everyone's input, that is what I ultimately need.godix wrote:If there are no titties, pussy, or dick then you're fine.

IMO Kaze to Ki no Uta owns no scene that I could call smut. The whole thing is a work of art, but people are going to look at it differently. I might send it to an admin but I'll try to find somewhere else to upload it and that might be my last resort. ^^
That's so confusing, lol. I mean, I understand it, but context is subjective... if sexual nudity means naked people regardless of detail having sex and that isn't allowed, then there should be examples like the ones you've just provided in the FAQ instead of some vague wording like sexual nudity.JaddziaDax wrote:its not the nudity itself thats in conflict its the context of the nudity...

No mod/admin has posted in this topic. I doubt they will. They tend to intentionally keep this a gray area because no one can realistically make a hard rule on what is artistic nudity and what is sexual nudity and if they tried then sure enough some prink (me most likely) would intentionally make a porno that just barely followed the rules.Artist of Termina wrote:This is just my own stupidity but I also have no idea how to tell if a mod is responding or not, and while I appreciate everyone's input, that is what I ultimately need.
Not that I mean to self pimp here but this might make things clearer. This has been on the site for years and I know for a fact at least a few mods have seen it and not so much as warned me about it much less deleted it or baned me for it. So it is an example of what you can show as long as it's artistic instead of sexual. Pay attention to the warning in the vid description, I wasn't kidding there.
On the other hand this was just barely able to be uploaded. So it is an example of how little you can show if it is for sexual purposes.
