Drawing attention to sticky posts

Modify phpbb's code to make sticky post titles show up in BRIGHT RED. I think the reason is obvious. I may even install a copy of phpbb on my own server and find the section of code to change (if it means this will be implemented).

Sounds like a goog idea. Or at least the part before the post title that says "Sticky" or "announcement".

If it were possible to make the icons bigger for those threads, it would be nice as well.

or perhaps they could be moved to a sticky section on top of the forum
much like this other forum (put it up top, like the subforums...or above the other threads...like the pinned threads)

but something (anything) to make it easier (more obvious) to distinguish stickies from threads does sound like a good idea

People would just zoom throught the sticky sections altogether, wouldn't they? They're already on top, adding a division would increase the problem, IMO.
