The Super Search Catagories are still broken

I reported this over a year ago at least, it's good to see no one's fixed it.

In the super search, when you highlight a catagory to search for the search works correctly and lists the first 20 videos only of the catagories you've selected. However, when you go to the next page to see results 21-40 the search function FORGETS what catagories you highlighted and gives you results for ALL catagories.

This renders searching by catagory completly useless past the first 20 results.

I was just wondering if there is any intent to actually fix this or if this is a 'Special Feature'.

It's not a special feature for donators, if that's what you meant. A search for 'action' vids gets the first page working, and half of the second page - then all of the sudden it's popping up with drama-only and comedy-only halfway down the page. No way are there only 30 action amvs on this site.

I was actually refering to it as a 'Special Feature' as it being a bug with a fancy title.

Searching by catagory worked when we were able to type in the catagory, but since that highlightable list was implimented the search by catagory feature has been utter crap and it makes hunting for certian videos a pain.

I know I've complained about this before... I believe the response was 'If you want bugs fixed, donate. LOL'. :/

And it's still not fixed.

Is anyone going to say 'Oh, oops, this will be on the too fix list' or 'Fixing it now' or 'It's fixed'? Or is this more of a 'Maybe no one will notice the problem if we don't do anything about it?' situation?

Is this the reason the actual downloading site is down? Just tried to grab a couple videos and it cut off on me during one of the DL's. Haven't been able to get any since.

That sounds like a "you need to give star ratings" or "your ISP is giving you problems" type of thing...

That shouldn't be the case on the first one. Already gave out stars. Always do.

The second one.... hmmm.... I can access everything else on the web... why not this suddenly?

It seems like there's a current issue with stuff on a certain server. It should be fixed eventually.

About the ISP issue, you'd be surprised. My University connection (that i no longer have in preference of a cable connection) didn't quite like the org servers. In fact I have at least a dozen vids that the site says I didn't download due to repeated disconnections.

Seems like a problem with the cookies, if not the catalog processing. When you enter the next page, if the problem is with the cookies, the query either doesn't read or cannot process your current search keys, and simply reverts to or runs through the general search options.
