Formatting issue on the updated opinons given page

Post by Hax » Tue Mar 22, 2005 5:32 pm

first of all, thank you for adding the ability to sort these. it works wonders. However, with the fixed width of the page, the columns are really squished.

I think it would be really easy to move the edit column and merge it with another, possibly under the number, or the number itself. decreasing the number of columns would increase readability.

I'll see what I can do - should be an easy modification.

that's what I figured, since it's just a cosmetic change. I appreciate it.

Before, the amv titles were scrunched up, and this has certainly fixed that, but now the problem, as you can see, is that there are 4 lines on each due to the right column. Definately a step in the right direction.

I see three potential improvements:
1) Edit the text of "edit opinon" to make it fit on one line, either by shrinking the font (not recommended) or changing what it actually says
2) Combining score and ops. By making these columns take less space, the "edit opinon" should then fit on one line.
3) setting a slightly smaller max width on the title column.

um, just one additional thing: what does the date modified actually represent? it doesn't look like it shows the date the opinon was last modified.

For example: I left an op on your Do it Right Vid on February 12th, but the "date modified" is last september

I realize this may be more than you want to get into editing as it's something completely different, but I wanted to bring it to your attention/ understand what it's supposed to be.

Date modified, I believe, also considers the date that the creator responded to an opinion in addition to any edits of the opinion.

That wouldn't explain the facts presented, though, since the opinion itself is newer than that, meaning that something's off.

The closest estimation I can come up with is that it is the date the video's profile was last edited.

Ah, I wasn't sure if he meant last February or this February.
