Site Pledge search interruption

I'm probably opening a whole can of worms here, but I'm going to give it a shot...

I have not pledged any money to this site (yet) but I plan on doing so. Up until a few months ago I was a poor college student - but I digress.

Whenever I do a search and select a specific category (ie. Instrumental) the search works beautifully until the site pledge page comes up. After I click "Proceed", I lose the the category that I searched for (thus 341 results becomes 26,364) and it is impossible to pick up where I left off in the search. I actually use AMVs to introduce myself to new series (It's how I discovered Inu Yasha and Kare Kano before they were popular in the USA, which is where I live) and would find it handy to be able to pick up where the search left off.

I also assume that after money is pledged, that screen goes away. If this is the case, it's a great plan!

I actually noticed that for the first time tonight (wasn't logged in). I thought the pledge pages only popped up for local downloads. Or is it only when you search using the 'Downloadable' option? I can see that since you have (or had, if they changed it) to be a member to use the "local only" search option.

If that pops up for every search, I think it's overkill. Having it just for things like "Downloadable" - which lets people search local vids - is fine with me. But for direct and indirect, there's no need to ask for pledges for the local host.
