Proxy Uploads?

Okay, I want to put my sister's and best friend's videos on this site. I got their permission, and went off to look for a way to upload them. After poking around a bit, I couldn't find a single thing about uploading to the proxy account. So, then I did a forum search and realized that other people had this problem. Thing is, those threads are from over a year ago, so I wasn't sure if maybe conditions had changed since then. Can I still not upload to the proxy account? Or is there something I'm missing?

I'd really like to upload their stuff; I'd even put the videos on my own account, but that's unfortunately not allowed.

Help?

Why can't they make their own accounts?

My sister can't make her own account because she doesn't really want to put forth that kind of effort. However, she has no problem with me doing it on her behalf, and I have no troubles doing it - if I can. My best friend can't do it because of her horridly slow modem and time constraint for being on the internet. We're still in high school and she has to live by her parent's rules. They freak out if she's on the internet too long - like, more than an hour at any one time. No exceptions. That's not enough time for her to upload her videos. So, I offered to do it. Unfortunately, I didn't think to see if I COULD before I made her that promise. I just assumed I could; we all know what assuming does, but I did it anyway. Moronic move on my part, I know.

If I could give her videos a chance here, I'd love to. If it's going to be a hassle for people other than myself, than I can tell her that it's a no-go, but I'd really rather not.

So, that known, is it possible to help this situation? I'd be very grateful if it was.

Can't your best friend give you the FTP username and password, once she gets it for each of her videos? Anyone with that info can upload the video.

If they don't mind telling you the passwords to their email accounts, you can set them up with org accounts and upload their vids for them. You'll need access to their email accounts to confirm the membership. If they don't even have email accounts, you'll have more work to do.

But really, it takes maybe 10 minutes to make an account. Have them do that and give you the passwords - then you can do the uploading for them.

Scintilla, Arigatomina - Hey, I hadn't even thought of either of those ideas before! Thanks, I'll try that! ^_^ Yes, they do have e-mail accounts. I may be computer-stupid myself, but they and I aren't THAT backward. My sister will have to make her site account yet, but my best friend already has one cuz I convinced her to do it sometime ago.

So, I'll talk to them about that and see what happens. Hopefully it'll all work out!
