How to make searching easier.

Post by Arcane Azmadi » Tue Aug 31, 2004 7:48 pm

Someone may have already suggested this, but it hasn't been implemented, so even if it has it's needs to be suggested again- the Super Search needs an 'Exclude' option. For one thing, I NEVER watch any kind of DBZ AMV, so I automatically discount them when browsing. More to the point, we need it when searching for AMVs by band. When searching for (downloadable) AMVs done to The Goo Goo Dolls, you get 88 results; however, fully 50 of these are done to Iris (including our own Iris/SaiKano AMV, heh), over half the selection on a single song. So how about we make it possible to search for Goo Goo Dolls EXCLUDING Iris? Or any song or band EXCLUDING Dragonball? It'd make things a lot easier. Yeah, I know it wouldn't be easy to implement, but it's worth considering isn't it?

Why the hell aren't the arguments showing up in the URL like they usually do, so I can just post my usual link and " :? " ?

Anyway, type in "goo dolls" for Musical Artist, and "-iris" for Song.

The method of form submission is 'post' instead of 'get'.

Here you can use this link to get those specific search results.
