profile pic being stupid!!

ok i went to change the pic in my profile so i deleted the image as usual. got my new pic and it still came up as the old one!! the image should be in the same limit size so i dont know what the problem is. i even deleted the one that was keep showing up and then clicked my new one and it still keeps showing the old one!! any one know whats going on with this??

You do mean profile pic and not avatar, right? Just want to be sure.

If so, try deleting the pic again, and then clearing your cookies. Upload the new one and it should show. The problem is that the new pic is saved with your user name, so when you replace it your internet may show the old pic instead of the new one. Clearing my cookies (or just history) usually fixes this when it happens with me.

well i did what you said and i still have that same damn pic. its driving me insane!! maybe i should try deleting the pic from my computer.

I'm not sure clearing the cookies would help much but you do need to clear your cache. Those are the temporary files your computer stores from the internet to help make websurfing faster. You can clear these in your browser options.

When you cleared your cookies, did you click the 'settings' and then 'view files' to make sure it deleted all the cookies? There are two from the org that tend to stick around after the automatic deletion.

Otherwise, yeah, delete it or just change the name. But it shouldn't matter, if you upload a different file, that file should be the one that shows up. The only question is - is it just showing you the wrong pic, or did it not upload properly.

What pic should your profile show? The new pic - describe it and I'll tell you if it's showing me the new one or the old one.

well my old profile had the Goku vs Yusuke pic and my new one should have Spike vs Vash on it. i delted the cache(SP) as well and still nothing.

I see a little red and black thing. The red could be a coat. It's about the size of 3.5 avatar pics - quite small. It's a little hard to make out, though.

Try one more time -

Log out of your account.
Close your browser
right-click the IE icon and go to properties
click 'delete cookies,' click 'delete files', click 'settings' and then 'view files' and delete the remaining cookies.
then click 'clear history'
Open your IE again and log in - go to your profile and check the pic.

Can't hurt. ^.~

actualy i dont use IE i use aol so im trying with IE right now it usually works better for me.
