Top 10 animes in your profile...

Post by LightningCountX » Sun Jan 25, 2004 7:34 pm

Wow, this is the first time im asking for help with the site instead of giving it ^^

Ok, i just redid my profile, and id also like to edit the anime in my profile on the top 10 list.

Now, i did everything correctly and it just doest register the changes. Ive tried deleting everything, changing everything, and i sometimes get a error message.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Hm, I tried to edit it just now and it seemed to work fine. You might try clearing your cookies and refreshing your profile to see if it actually went through or not.

Is the error namely for 'placing DragonBall Z'? As far as I know the only way to rearrange that one is to either move everything off the list (to get it to number 1) or put other anime in higher ranks until it lands where you want it. I can't seem to change it manually. o.O

It's possibly because of the aliasing system we have in place...

I can imagine DBZ being a bitch as there are a million and one different titles that now all point to "DragonBall Z" :)

That's what I thought. It was the only entry in my list that I couldn't 'knock off' the list by giving it a number higher than 10 - I couldn't change it at all. Instead, I had to put things ahead until it moved to where I wanted it.

Might want to do something about the bug, though...or you'll get more people asking about it (dbz being such a popular anime and all). ;p

Ah, I don't think 'Samurai X' is an option anymore - try using 'Kenshin OVA' and the corresponding name. Anything in blue is a 'fake' name that has been changed in the database. :?

Then it's the same bug I had with dbz - a result of having duplicates all linked to that one title.

Just change the rest of the anime in your list until that one is where you want it (if you want it to move higher on the list, delete the ones above it - make them greater than 10). If you want it lower, just put other anime above it.
