Video notification

I don't spend a lot of time sifting through houndreds of "New AMV" threads, but there are a hell of a lot of creators who's videos I watch. I was wondering if it were possible for an email notification, or notification on the member page, to appear when one of those creators premiered a new video, too often I get an IM from someone asking if I've seen their new video and I didn't even know they had a new video. It might even help reduce traffic on the forums, if it's becoming an issue.

With fanfiction sites they have an 'author alert' where you check the author and get a message (email in that case) any time that author updates something or posts a new fic. I think a 'creator/editor' alert would be a very nice addition, but how hard would it be to set up?

I'm not savvy with PHP, I wish I knew how complex the request was...

Hey,

Yes, this is actually in the works, called "Fan Management". Video creators will be able to send emails to their fans as well as auto-notifications when a new video is entered/downloadable. Getting there... ^_^
