You know, this sort of brings me to another point...

I probably wouldn't have ever made or at least released an AMV if not for this forum. I mean, I had the idea of doing it, but for one I was very skeptical of whether the AMV community was 'somewhere I belonged' so to say. The community did turn out to be somewhere I belong, and although I still make these things for myself, it's nice to have a sense of context.

More importantly, I don't think I would ever have made any AMV's if it weren't for the off-topic forums (again, I don't want to start a discussion on this, but I sorely miss them) - because through them I did find quite a few inspirational characters in this community.
Of course, that's not to take away credit from the OT-less .org forums, because I found many more inspirational characters here since december 2003...

You mean your mistress.

I'm a one forum sort of guy.

In college me and my roomate both frequented one forum (his was http://www.belegarth.com/) and we each followed the other in a general sort of way (in that we would talk about it with each other) but only ever posted in our own forums.

The way I see it, there is no trust or benefit of the doubt on the internet. There's no point in posting in a forum unless you do it often enough that you aren't just some random name. Unless of course, you have a question.

i have cvisited other forums off and on, one of the major ones being the forums on Megatokyo.com. I used to frequently post my art there in the art threads. But then I found the org ;p That and that forum at megatokyo got too big (when Piro started doing it full time and got realy popular) and what used to feel like a small family just got too impersonal and too many newbs and jerks, so I didn;t realy feel like I belonged there anymore. Also most of the people I knew personally left... so I ended up not hanging around there much anymore.

So yea, the org is my #1 forum now. Funny how the org isn;t exactly small either, but I did make alot more friends/buddies/fans/mentors on here than megatokyo, so it still kinda feels like family to me ;p

Yeah, well, I tried so hard to make an LBZ AMV in the last little while that I'm about to break. But in the end it doesn't even matter, because I probably won't.

While I visist the forum here everyday it is nowhere near my number one forum. I post here sometimes but I will mostly lurk around and read what other people have to say. I mainly check out general amv and general anime. Heads up is another good reason I come in here as well. However, how things are here it won't be my favorite forum because it doesn't seem like a full community. There are people who post regularly that I can recognize but then there are so many people just sitting in the outskirts looking in but it feels like they aren't welcomed. Granted not everyone will fit but having a sense of some group does give a forum a second home away from home feeling. Is that making any sense? :?

I've limited my forum surfing to mostly this one, although i frequent another 3 or 4 of them when the need strikes me. My internet connection situation isn't that consistant in the summer, but when i'm at school i'm essentially a forum addict. a-m-v.org forums have taken at least 500 hours of my life in the last 6 months and i don't regret it. :?
