Firstly - What do you mean the Digimon thread didn't fare well? It got more posts than some of the others that are there. As a rabid Digimon fan, I am strongly opposed to combining existing threads into a new one.
Secondly, I figure the wider the definition the better if you want more posts. I figure it's aimed at kids if the main characters *are* kids, and if it's airing on a network other than Cartoon Network. It can always get more narrowed later if need be.
I think even most of Miyazaki's works might qualify, if there isn't already a Miyzaki thread. Is there?
And, if there aren't enough truly *good* "kiddie" ams - mebbe this new thread could change that? Just a thought and a hope.
There's lots of animes that we'd never even heard of because the censors wouldn't let 'em through. Things that are uncut, may be appropriate for Japanese kids, but certain American folks would not let their own kids see.
