a new category for VCAs

Should there be a best multiproject category in future VCAs.
dunno if this has been discussed before...

Wait until around December or January until the VCAs start. During that time we can make catagory suggestions.

This was brought up last year, yeah.

I think the main issue with the suggestion is that, obviously, anything that is done must revolve around the website's coding and database. There hasn't yet been anything installed/written to specifically indicate a video as "Multi-Editor Project." As such, it was impossible to set up a category to filter out JUST the "projects" as videos to nominate/vote-for.

Lots of progress and updates have been made to the site's back-end coding, it seems, so it wouldn't surprise me to see something like this become a possibility in upcoming VCAs :D. It would certainly rock.

I don't think filtering's TOO much of an issue (now that projects can have multiple collaborators). Just filter out videos with only one creator and you have all the 'multi-editor projects' (of course, this would include two-editor projects...maybe some tweaking or definitions are called for).

Its not like we have so many projects that its impossible to input the data the good old fashoined way--by hand ;p

what do you mean soon, isnt the VCA in January, still is a lot of time till then...right?

Anyway there are many multiprojects out there, and many others to come so thumbs up for multiproject category.
