Isn't taskbar grouping a Windows XP feature? I don't remember seeing it in previous versions...kmv wrote:Not that I am advocating the use of IE, but did you realise that you can do this:flint_the_dwarf wrote:I like it because I can have several pages open in one window without cluttering the taskbar.
I could swear I had it in my old Windows 98 as well as XP - but I never used IE enough to know if it worked for that - just other programs and open folders.paizuri wrote:Isn't taskbar grouping a Windows XP feature? I don't remember seeing it in previous versions...
I'm going to look around and see if I can disable that - it has to be some sort of automatic setting, in which case, I should be able to turn it off. >.<flint_the_dwarf wrote:Yeah, I did know it could do that and that was one of the things that annoyed me most. I don't like having to do that, that's a whole extra mouse click.I'm with Ari on this, I prefer to see them all even if they're minimized. And as far as I could tell, that is just a Windows XP thing because I'm sure it didn't do that with Windows ME. I'll never go back to IE.
If I break down and reinstall Opera, I'll definitely be asking how to import a favorites list. That's the one thing I hated most about using it - I didn't have my (very long) list of vid links.Oh, and Ari, you can import your IE favorites into Opera without having to copy and paste. I just figured it out yesterday. Haven't used it, because I don't use favorites, but I've been told it works fine.
